Our expertise is built from over 30 years of woodworking experience. With degrees in woodworking and furniture design from Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of American Craftsmen, two college roommates chose to follow their love of building and design and create their own company: River Road Development.
With numerous houses built from the ground up to exquisite kitchens and bath projects, RRD has garnered a superior reputation for craftsmanship and durability. They have become a sought-after company that has thrived by word of mouth and is expanding into five counties within New Jersey: Middlesex, Monmouth, Northern Ocean, Union, and Southern Essex.

River Road Development is your dedicated project manager. We show up when we say we are
going to and we create what we agree to. We set and share realistic deadlines for milestones
and finishing. And we are easily accessible by phone or text. Our clients find it refreshing to

This was my first project with Robert. I had interviewed a lot of contractors before I met with Robert, and immediately got a good a vibe from him. Calm and thoughtful. His estimate was the only one that was fair, detailed and comprehensive. Never having worked with him, I was nervous about cost overruns, but to my delightful surprise, what he quoted was ACTUALLY what the costs came in at. How incredible was that? And the product was outstanding. The attention to detail was great, and everything was just done right. Simple as that. Robert and Silas came in to save the day! I had worked with Robert multiple times, and maybe because it has always been such a smooth renovation, I forgot that other contractors are NOT like him. After a terrible experience with a contractor, I called Robert mid-way through a renovation and he swooped in to save the day. He turned a would-be awful experience into another positive one. Robert, Silas and Bill are so easy to work with. They are meticulous, thoughtful and really work well with all different personalities. I am always satisfied with the work product. What's more is that I always know that they are fair and honest. I know that they will stay true to their construction cost estimates, update you immediately if there is a cost overrun (which is rare) and they will be fair. I have and will continue to recommend River Road Development for all home renovation needs.
